1961 Ashley Sportiva

I first heard about this car when looking through the internet classic car sites, not sure where or why, I know there were no pictures or registration number so I could not add it to my Index List.
Some months later I received this email:
Hello
Just spotted your website. I contribute to the AROnline Austin Rover website run by Keith Adams. He will shortly be posting an in depth article of mine about our Sportiva.
For your records the car no longer exists (even though it was the subject of a total restoration) - long story - hence justification for article.
The connection to AROnline was our Sportiva was based on a 52 Somerset chassis and I bought it off the man who built the car originally in 1961.
I owned it for more than 30 years.
The reg number was VNU758.

I replied of course to say it was very much of interest and I would add the Rego No. to my Index and asking for more details and photo's.
I did a quick search of the DVLA vehicle file and found that it was
still listed.
